WTF of the Week

WTF, Massachusetts? You elect someone to replace Sen. Ted Kennedy - a man who paved the way for health care debate, battled for improved federal education spending and saw a real need for progress in American political logic - WHO DOESN'T BELIEVE IN GLOBAL WARMING? I understand we as citizens are slightly disgruntled on either side in regard to health care legislation and the state of the economy, but still.. Scott Brown? (Plus let's not forget what got us to this point in the first place. Coughderegulationcough)
Maybe the tides are changing.. and producing a new voice for the people of Massachusetts, and if that truly is the case then I cannot argue democracy, but I have to say that I am dumbfounded.
Here is a link to the Times article published today by Michael Cooper, which critiques the newly elected Senator. Just one little gem of a paragraph that I couldn't help leave out:
"Even so, his election was a sharp swing of the pendulum. The Senate seat held for nearly half a century by Mr. Kennedy, the liberal lion of the Senate, will now be held for two years by a Republican who has said he supports waterboarding as an interrogation technique for terrorism suspects, opposes a federal cap-and-trade program to reduce carbon emissions and opposes a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants unless they leave the country."
     Oh, and there's this:

What were you smoking last night, Massholes?!
